About the event
AVEPA-SEVC is southern Europe's large veterinary congress for vets who treat companion and exotic animals. In 2026 it takes place in Barcelona from 19 to 21 November.
Over three days, more than 120 lectures are given in seven parallel rooms. Some are pitched at a more advanced level for those looking for specialised content. According to the organiser, the speakers present the latest advances in science, clinical work and technology.
All rooms have simultaneous interpreting, so people can take part from different countries and in different languages. That makes the event of interest to vets well beyond Spain. About 30 percent of the lectures are recorded, and the recordings are released to participants on 30 November 2026.
Besides lectures, there are hands-on workshops in small groups, where you can practise new techniques with international trainers. The commercial exhibition has more than 100 domestic and international companies showing products, services, technology and clinical solutions.
The programme also includes the annual feline medicine symposium of the international cat organisation iCatCare and a separate training programme for veterinary technical staff.
