About the event
Dogs & Fun is the dog fair of the German kennel club VDH at the Dortmund exhibition centre from 21 to 23 May 2027. It is open every day from 10:00 to 18:00 and, according to the organiser, is a public event for the whole family. The programme has breed presentations, a large show programme, things to join in with and sales stands with dog products at fair prices.
On the show side there are three international shows. The Agria Winner Show is on Friday 21 May, the VDH-Europasieger show on Saturday 22 May and the German Winner Show on Sunday 23 May. The German Winner Show joins the Dortmund event in 2027. In 2026 it took place in Baden-Württemberg, as the planned Gelsenkirchen venue did not go ahead. All ten FCI groups are present every day.
Entries are made online at onlinedogshows.eu. There are three deadlines, the last of which is 4 May 2027. As the World Dog Show takes place the following week in Tulln, Austria, many international exhibitors can combine both shows on their May trip.
Tickets are not sold at the door but must be bought online in advance. This also applies to dog tickets. Local transport is not included in the ticket. Photography is allowed for private use, and there is free Wi-Fi at the venue.

How to get there
The exhibition centre is at Rheinlanddamm 200, 44139 Dortmund. Dortmund has its own airport, and Düsseldorf airport is also close.
You can bring your own dog as a visitor if it has a valid rabies vaccination given at least three weeks before the event, and its own ticket. The vaccination certificate is checked at the entrance. If your dog crosses a border with you, within the EU it needs a microchip, an EU pet passport and a valid rabies vaccination. Rules differ for travellers from outside the EU, so check the current requirements with your national authority well before you travel.
