About the event
DUO CACIB is the big February event of the Czech kennel union ČMKU at the Brno exhibition centre. In 2027 it takes place on Saturday and Sunday, 20 and 21 February. The name explains the idea: an exhibitor has two chances in one weekend to win the international CACIB certificate.
According to the Czech news agency ČTK, 7,400 dogs competed in three halls in 2024, and in earlier years the number was close to 8,000. According to the chair of the Czech kennel union, Czechia is one of Europe's strongest dog countries after the Nordics. In 2024 he said there were more breeders than before the COVID pandemic.
According to the organiser, all breeds are shown on the same day at each show. You can therefore come for one day or enter both shows. Entries are made in the DogOffice system, and the closing date is 2 February 2027. Judge lists and show invitations are published on the organiser's website.
The show is open to visitors on both days from 8:00 to 16:00. Most judging rings run in the morning and afternoon. At the same time, the Brno exhibition centre runs a sale of breeding supplies and feed in hall G1, so you can also buy food, grooming products and training equipment there.
