About the event
ECVIM-CA is the annual congress of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine for companion animals. The 37th congress takes place from 23 to 25 September 2027 at the Palacongressi in Rimini. The congress moves every year, and in 2026 it was in Berlin.
According to the organiser, about 1,930 participants attended in Berlin, and over 200 more followed the programme later on recordings. Participants came from 51 countries around the world. The congress accepted 139 studies as oral presentations and 187 as posters, so there is a lot of fresh research.
The programme consists of lecture streams run by specialist societies. They include comparative gastroenterology, hepatology, nephrology and urology, oncology, internal medicine, cardiology and feline medicine. There are also oral research presentations and a poster exhibition. According to the organiser, the aim is to give specialists the latest science and a view of where the field is heading.
The congress particularly suits vets who are specialists or specialising in internal medicine, but it also serves the clinic vet who wants to deepen their knowledge. Recordings of the 2026 congress are available online. Check 2027 registration and recordings on the organiser's website.
