About the event
FCI European Dog Show 2027 takes place in Spain from 2 to 5 December 2027. The host is the Spanish kennel club Real Sociedad Canina de España, or RSCE, which took the European show's baton from Sweden in September 2026. The organiser anticipates more than 10,000 entries. At the 2026 show in Stockholm, about 8,800 dogs competed.
The event is a show circuit in two places. The IFA exhibition centre between Alicante and Elche hosts the European Dog Show itself and the RSCE Winner. IFEPA in Torre Pacheco in the Murcia region hosts the Latin Winner and European specialty shows for individual breeds. According to the organiser, it is possible to enter up to four different shows in two days.
According to the organiser, entries open from 1 November 2026. The website lists judges, entry fees, groups and show venues, along with details of prizes and the junior handling competition. Visitors are promised many breeds, judging in many rings and big finals featuring Europe's best dogs. Ticket sales begin later.
The president of the Spanish kennel club also leads the FCI's European section, and in his welcome he stresses the importance of responsible breeding, breed diversity and dogs' health and welfare. The event's motto is Show the world our pride in dog breeds.
