About the event
IBERPET is an international pet industry trade fair held at IFEMA Madrid from 10 to 12 March 2027. The event was previously known as IBERZOO PROPET. The new name applies from the 2027 fair, and according to the organiser it is meant to strengthen the event's international standing.
The organiser is IFEMA Madrid, backed by the Madrid companion animal vets' association AMVAC and the pet product distributors' association AEDPAC. The fair is also supported by the industry bodies AEVET, ANFAAC, CEVE, the VET+i foundation and VETERINDUSTRIA. The 2026 fair had 302 exhibitors and 1,200 brands, and there were more than 21,000 trade visitors.
Two other events run alongside the fair. VetMadrid is AMVAC's annual veterinary congress, and Iberpet Forum is an industry forum run by AEDPAC. The combination brings manufacturers, distributors, vets and service companies to one place, so a single trip can cover business meetings and training.
According to the organiser, the Spanish pet sector is a market worth over three billion euros that directly employs more than 46,900 people and indirectly 356,000. The event therefore offers a good view of southern European markets. The fair is for trade professionals only, so consumers should look for other pet events.
