The Pembroke Corgi is a compact dog with short legs and a sturdy build. Its height at the withers is around 25–30 cm, and weight ranges from 10 to 12 kg. These dogs have long bodies with strong musculature, highlighting their working ability. One of the most distinctive features of the Pembroke Corgi is its short tail, although in some countries the tail may be left natural. The coat is of medium length, dense, and water-repellent, allowing them to work in various weather conditions. Coat colors can vary and include red, black and tan, tricolor, or sable. Pembroke Corgis have expressive, intelligent faces with large, friendly eyes. Their upright ears on short legs give them a cheerful and playful appearance.
